  3. ALLAH! When a friend of ALLAH passes away the entire world grieves though we see it not. Shaykh Hassan Cisse has touched many lives even of people he did not meet physically. AlhamdulILLAH at least i met him in my dreams with Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse. May ALLAH sanctify his secret and make him amongst those whom HE has brought near. Al Qutb Shaykh Hassan Cisse has left a legecy that will continue till Qiyaamah. ALLAH! We should value the Shaykhs we hav in our presence as when they are “gone” we tend to regret why we didnt do/learn enough from them. May ALLAH S.W.T. also bless the living souls of Shaykh Hazim Abu Ghazalah and Shaykh Nazim Al Haqqani and all other AwliyaULLAH. ALLAH ALLAH ALLAH !

INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAEHI ROJIHUUN,Certainly, i have got no doubt on my heart that it’s just a transition and life continues in a more honourable way, in company of most honourable persons viz Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass and Sheikh Ahmad Tijani Fas,Rodia ‘llahu Tahala anihum jamihan. Notwithstanding we shall surely mis him 4 a very very long time to come.

  8. Assalamu alaikum, this is indeed a great loss, to allah we belong and to him we return, may Allah grant Shaykh Hassan the highest place in Jannah.

  9. To die and continue living in the mind of beloved is not death. Fadhilat Sheikh Hassan Cisse lives On because he came, saw and participated in the most extra ordinary manner. His knowledge was transmitted to those who thought they haave knowledge only for them to realise they knew but nothing. Same was transmitted to ignorants and they have continued to enjoy everlasting light in their lives. No doubt Sheikh now enjoys in a better company with the Holy Prophet(SAW),Sheikh Ahmada Tijani, his grandfather and hisfather(RTAA). May Allah in His infinite Mercy continue His blessing upon our father and May He grant him a place among those He has shown His favour.

  10. innalillahi wainnailaihi rajiun it is irreparable loss to humanity in general and muslim umma in particular may the gentle soul of our spiritual leader rest in perfect peace

Inna lillahi Wa Inna ileahi Rojihun. This is a great loss to the entire Muslim ummah and the tariqqah Tijaniyyah in particular. The transisition of our scholars, the sufi waliys creates a serious vacuum and darkness in the lives of the believing muslims. Though they are not dead, they only change positions and are with their Lord (Allah). I particularly regret that Sheik could not make it to our earlier proposed program in Obafemi Awolowo University.
On behalf of my humble self, my younger and elderly ones, Zawiyyah Ode Omu, zawiyyah OAU Ife, Zawiyyah Sheik Abdul Lateef Ikire and all muslims in Nigeria, I pray that Allah continues to grant our Sheik Al-Jannah Firdaus and give us all the fortitude to bear his loss. Fatiah (1), Qulhuwwallah (11), Solatil Fatih (10) for our beloced sheik.

  11. ALHAMDULILlAH.Indeed we the people of Ghana welcome the demise of the noble imam with a great shock, indeed it is ALLAH who gives and it is HE who collects/call.We will forever be grateful to ALLAH for whatever he does remains perfect

  17. IN THE NAME OF ALLAH

THE FOLLOWING IS AN ACCOUNT OF ONE OF THE BROTHERS IN THE TARIQA WHO WAS IN SENEGAL WITH THE SHAYKH WHEN HE PASSED

    MA’SHALLAH,
    Abdul-Kareem

Alhamdulillah, the First, the Last, the Manifest, the Hidden, and to
Him all things return. Peace and blessing on the Prophet Muhammad, the
opener of what was closed, the secret of creation.

Dear Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Islam, fellow servants on the way
back to Allah, to all those who have heard the blessed name of the
beloved of God, Shaykh Hassan Cisse. I am writing from Medina Baye
where Allah has honored this poor servant to witness the last week of
Shaykh Hassan Cisse’s life before passing. His funeral was attended by
over two million people from all around the world. Seven people died
in the crowds, some of them from overwhelming emotion only from
hearing that they were bringing the coffin of Shaykh Hassan.

I have gathered here the gist of Shaykh Hassan’s last public address
the day before he passed away. The occasion was a funeral in Kaolack.
The following summary was conveyed to us by Cheikh Jere Cisse, the
intimate traveling companion of Shaykh Hassan:

‘A person in this life is like the traveler that stops under a tree to
rest for a while before continuing on. The same Allah who took back to
Himself the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Shaykh Ahmad Tijani and Shaykh
Ibrahim Niasse will not leave anyone on the face of the earth. Allah’s
power is such that He can take whole communities at once, as in
Indonesia with the Tsunami: entire towns and villages were wiped off
the map. There was no one even to perform the janaza for them. For
Allah to take only one person is a mercy. Whatever Allah takes,
belongs to Him; whatever Allah leaves on the earth for a time, belongs
to Him. I am leaving you with Allah. Shaykh Ibrahim once said to my
father, Saydi Ali, I am leaving you in the pocket of the Prophet. And
I say: I am leaving you in the pocket of Shaykh Ibrahim.’

Afterwards, we thanked Cheikh Jere for the all the years he spent in
service to our Shaykh, traveling with him everywhere he went around
the world. He said, really it was a privilege and an honor. Almost
twenty years ago, Cheikh Jere continued, he was riding in the car with
Shaykh Hassan, with Cheikh Tijan Cisse in the front seat. Shaykh
Hassan said, “You should be thankful to be helping me. My grandfather
once prayed for me, and then told me, ‘Go tell your mother and father
I have just prayed for you a prayer that no one can stop the mission
that is for you to complete.’ So be thankful to be helping me in this
mission, because whether you help me or not, this mission will be
completed. Your helping me is not for my benefit, it is only because
Allah has chosen to shower you with blessing and credit for good
deeds. For when Allah asks of my mission, your names will be recorded
among those who helped.” He also mentioned a time when Shaykh Hassan
and he were eating out of the same dish with a noble Sharif. One of
the Shaykh’s beloveds, Mahi Thiam, entered to room and Shaykh Hassan
invited him to eat. Out of respect he declined, until Shaykh Hassan
insisted, “Don’t you know there are some people who have ijaza
directly from the Prophet Muhammad, that if you eat with them you will
    go to Paradise?”

May Allah strengthen us all to continue the work. May He grant us the
promise of the Prophet, “A man is with (in the afterlife) whom he
    loves.”

Among the signs he gave of his near departure was one related by Nazir
Tal, a direct descendent of al-Hajj Umar who met Shaykh Hassan when he
returned from traveling one week before passing. Shaykh Hassan told
Nazir, “I don’t mind if I never see an airplane again.” Nazir said,
“But Shaykh, all your work is travelling all around the world, how can
you avoid planes?” He just replied, “The last time Shaykh Ibrahim
traveled, he was in Paris, and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) came to him
in broad daylight. This last time, I traveled to Norway, Libya,
Morocco, Ivory Coast and France. And when I was in Paris, I was alone
in my room, and the Prophet also entered to see me in broad daylight.”

May Allah receive him with great pleasure, and may He be pleased with
    us on his account.

    Zakariya

  22. A few days before I left Senegal I went to Sheikh’s house to greet and thank him as he was about to travel to Oslow the following day. He was laying on his mattress outside in the courtyard and I sat beside him and thanked him for giving me the opportunity to come to Senegal, for giving me the gift–the gift to LOVE and EXPIRIENCE Islam, something which in the past I never had. Today I can proudly say,”Yes, I am a Muslim!”

After I greeted him. I waited for Sheikh to say “La ela ha ela Allah” but he never did and this I should say left me very sad as I thought maybe Sheikh didnt want to see me again. Maybe I have done something wrong….

Later his wife came who was also travelling but to France he instead said the Kalima to her and she replied, “Muhamad Rasullulah” I now understand why Sheikh never said it to me, as it was our last time together, his wife he of course saw again in France. Allah Akbar!!!

May Allah place Sheikh Hassan Cisse RA shoulder to shoulder with the person he loves most….With Nabi Muhamad SAW Amen!

    [NO ONE BUT GOD]

ANNA MURID SHELK KAMEEL ADEREMI FAZAZY

  31. To die and continue living in the mind of beloved is not death Sheikh Hassan Cisse lives On because he came to the world, saw and participated in the most extra ordinary manner. His knowledge was transmitted to those who thought they haave knowledge only for them to realise they knew but nothing and try to explain mush about Muhammed (SAW) .

We were totally shocked when we head the news of his death. The last time I saw him life was with Sheikh Mustaph Ibrahim, Chairman of Islamic Council for Development and Humanitarian Services Ghana (ICODEHS). Though we lost Sheikh Hassan Ciesse’s body but we have never lost his spirit with us, he is with us at all time because the legacy he left behind will never be forgotten. May Allah shower is blessings on his soul Always.

Sheikh Hassan has finshed with his promise he took with his creater. He thank God for atleast ending his life as a tijaniyya. What is left with us who love him is to love and do what he wanted and did.We should remember that sheikh Ibrahim(R.A)told us that tijaniya is based on Quran and hadith.we should read and learn books of tijaniya,so that we will practice the right tijaniya. What I also want us to remember and note is the sayings of almoulana sheikh Ahmed Tijani(ra)that when we hear that he has said/done something,we should compare it to the quran and hadith. We should work with it when quran and hadiths support it and we should throw it away if quran and hadith forbids it.

    • Ex-sufi, May Allah forgive you.
      When a muslim dies,
the least you can do for him is to seek for Allah’s forgiveness for him. Why do you wish Allah’s punishment for a fellow muslim ? why ? Do you have any iota of mercy in your heart at all?
No one is pure except Allah.

If you cannot speak good of the deceased,it’s better you keep your comment to yourself.

Leave judgement for Allah. Surely Allah is ever forgiven, most merciful.

  64. Alhamdu lillah. Wassalatu wassalamu ala Rasulullah. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji uwn. Allahu akbar. I can not make any comment than to pray for Sheikh’s reunion with our beloved Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass, Sheikh Tijjani and Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. I was with Sheikh Hassan for over 30 years as he was frequenting my country, Nigeria. The last time i met him was in the month of July, 2007 at a Tijjaniyyah Forum in Fez, Morocco. May Allah bless him and grant him aljannat firdaus. Am proud to be associated with this great Sheikh. Nuruddeen Abbas Mashi, Nigeria.
