This will be, G-d willing, the last of my posts regarding the death of the King of Pop Michael Jackson and the bizarre reactions that have accompanied it.
It is clear from Muhammad Abdul Aziz aka Jermaine Jackson’s recent comments on the Larry King Show that Michael did not accept Al-Islam and will not be buried as a Muslim despite the many myths that have circulated such as an Imam visited the staunchly Jehovah Witness Jackson parents to discuss funeral arrangements to the fable that Dawud Wharnsby and an unknown Imam witnessed him accepting Al-Islam.
What is also clear is that some prominent Imam(s) in California should reach out to Abdul Aziz during this time of grieving and in the long term, encourage him to further his studies of Al-Islam. During the Larry King interview, Abdul Aziz said that Michael Jackson was “the most incredible human being there will ever be.” To state that a pop singer is the most incredible human being ever, more incredible than Moses (AS), Jesus Christ (AS) or Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) is an extremely peculiar if not blasphemous statement to be made by a Muslim. To be honest, I’m not quite sure of the creed of Abdul Aziz though I’m aware that he is close with the Nation of Islam (NOI), who provided security for Michael in 2003 during the child molestation case.
Even more queer than this were the comments I heard on yesterday’s Rev. Jesse Jackson Talk Show in which he stated that there have been nine suicides linked to the death of Michael Jackson! It seems that the perversion of referring to Michael as an “idol” was taken literally by these nine and certainly countless scores of others who have slipped into depression or forms of mania. An idol is a false deity or false symbol of worship, their symbol of worship died, and it appears that these misguided souls died with their idol. Perhaps they had histories of psychological problems that may have been exasperated by their pop star idolatry.
Anyway, I’m sure that more weird stories will surface after the burial, the custody battles will continue, and fights will ensue over royalties and yet to be released material. My disappointment resides more in irrational behavior and words that Muslims have expressed over Michael’s death, the strangest being a report that was passed on by a sister that a prominent mosque in Illinois holding a Janazah prayer for Michael.
It raises some serious questions in my mind anyway.

Why is no-one at CAIR mentioning about the Muslim Professor who has been harassed and discriminated by superiors at Georgia State University for wearing her hijab. Please read http://www.huffingtonpost.com/yvonne-r-davis/georgia-state-university_b_225951.html
This has also been featured on CNN, and local fox affiliate of FOX, ABC, etc… google it for more info
Michael(Angel of Allah) Jackson may not have professed Islam as his faith. However, it is CRYSTAL clear through his humanitarian contributions, that he had the heart of a true Muslim and most certainly exercised Zakat ten-fold. Perhaps that is why so many Muslims are convinced that he died Muslim and identify with him. Further, I am terribly disappointed that you would go so far as to dismiss or suggest that depressed/suicidal fans are psychotic. Michael’s fans liken him to a modern day prophet/musician, bringing a message of Peace and Love to the world through his lyrics; much like your sermons, lectures, or khutbas. Thus he is loved and adored the whole world over for his Angel like qualities. Did he not labor to establish peace and eliminate world hunger just as any Imam worth his position as leader within the Islamic community would do?
How many so-called Muslims(lip-professors)would labor to this extent and give of their financial resources to the magnitude that Michael Jackson has? But yet, they profess to be believers of Islam while disrespecting their women, and stock-piling their money all in the same breath! Make no mistake, Michael Jackson was Muslim at heart, and his fans are grief stricken… Let them grieve at this hour! You must have sensitivity when approaching this subject! You’re an Imam! Perhaps Islamic outreach(Da’wah)is necessary; instead of your psychosis diagnosis of his fans. You have offended many – both Muslims and Non-Muslims alike! Fans are distraught! Many believe that Michael’s message of Peace and Love has died with him and there’s no turning back. Something that you and every other critic could never understand. Average minds will never be able to grasp what Michael truly represented and meant to his fans. Also, professing Islam as your faith does not guard one from hypocricy! It is not what one professes that defines the individual; but yet, it is ones actions that truly define and describe the character, heart and soul of an individual. Come down from your HIGH HORSE at once!
I leave you with a verse from the Holy Qu’ran; which I know is very familar to you…
2:14 (Y. Ali) When they meet those who believe, they say: “We believe;” but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say: “We are really with you: We (were) only jesting.”
Brother Dawud, in the video, Jermain Jackson doesn’t say that Micheal did not converted to Islam.
However, based on his talks about the funeral ceremony, it may seem like Micheal did not converted to Islam.
But that is based on analogy in contrast to all the other posts on internet about his “conversion.”

@ Mikaeel Malik
1) Michael (Mikaeel) does not mean Angel of Allah in Hebrew. Mikaeel does not come from an Arabic root either.
2) I never stated that Michael didn’t do good works and give charity. Being a Muslim is based upon accepting a creed and striving to implement the mandates of Al-Islam, which includes openly bearing witness that there is only 1 G-d and Muhammad (SAAS) is his messenger. Please spare me all of this Muslim in the heart stuff. There are people who don’t believe in G-d at all like Bill Gates who have given way more charity than Michael Jackson. Is he a Muslim in his heart too?!
3) To committ suicide over the death of a pop-star is insane, and suicide is rejected by people of all religions. That you dismiss the thoroughly insane nature of committing suicide over a musical artist, no matter how talented, is very troubling.
4) I do not try to offend anyone intentionally, but truth & reason is in many cases offensive, especially to those who are working off of an emotional platform.
5) The translation of that ayah that you mentioned refers to those who profess Al-Islam or felicity with Muslims, then work with the enemies of Al-Islam to undermine the faith and plot to do harm against the believers. This was revealed in Al-Madinah during the time when hypocrites plotted with the polytheists to destroy the Islamic ummah. You’re quoting the Qur’an out of context.
@americanmuslims
Jermaine never said that he accepted Al-Islam as you’ve stated. No one has stated that they witnessed the Michael accepting Islam including his brother.
Michael had a very thorough will and left no instructions to be buried as a Muslim. In fact, he was buried as a Jehovah Witness.
Why do you draw a quick conclusion about someone faith. May be he did not want to disclose his new faith because of social and financial reasons He was such an infulential person he may have a huge impact over his funs and he may have got many enemies( he had already) just because of being muslim. Most probable you know the concept islamobia. I do not think his brother could reveal something thaht MJ prefered to keep personal or secret.Like MJ High profile people kept their new religions( especially islam) as a secret.I am surprised you sound you have no idea about all these !!!!!!
